Was born in Katowice. She studied English language at Silesian University and in 1984 she completed her education at the Academy of Fine Art in Katowice. Took a doctor’s degree of esthetics at Department of Philosophy at Silesian University.
She translates English literature and poetry into Polish (Sylvia Plath, Anne Sexton, Charles Brown, Leonard Cohen, Jonathan Carroll). In 70s Korusiewicz started to write poetry, published two books and achieved a scholarship from Polish Ministry of Calture and Art.
Maria Korusiewicz is also a very talented graphic artist. Cooperates with galleries in Poland, Great Britain and USA. Her artistic production involves magazine illustrations and trade marks (for example for Adidas, Big Design Group in Atlanta, Scholastic Books in New York, Museum of Science in Boston, Theatre College in Los Angeles). She was originator and participant of many exhibitions and contents throughout the world and her artworks inspirited by renaissance are highly priced by collectors and art critics. One of Korusiewicz’s works is in Vatican where she met Pope John Paul II and presented him with her etching "St Michael".
